Maya Williams is multi-disciplinary artist seeking to empower historically vulnerable populations to explore futuristic narratives that center their interconnected needs and identities through cross-cultural exchange, art, and technology so they may begin working together to actualize these visions of the future.
In 2018, Maya graduated from New York University Shanghai where they studied Sociology and Interactive Media Arts. They have also studied CNC manufacturing at Los Angeles Valley College.
Maya is currently based in their hometown of Los Angeles reconnecting with cultural identity through traditional art mediums including pottery, embroidery, and quilting.
